307 Departure was formed in 2019 by Wyoming-born brothers Kellen Moore and Grayson Moore, who joined forces with Houston native Josh Russell to create a hard rock trio built on shared musical vision and hometown roots. Raised in Casper, Wyoming before relocating to the Houston music scene, the Moore brothers brought a deep-rooted connection to rock's melodic traditions, while Russell's presence rounded out the group's dynamic energy and stage presence.

From its earliest days, the band drew heavily on influences such as Alice In Chains, Green Day, Foo Fighters, and Avenged Sevenfold — artists whose blend of raw intensity and melodic songwriting would come to define 307 Departure's own sound. As the trio developed their identity, they distinguished themselves through intricate vocal harmonies and a hard-hitting yet accessible style, steadily building a following through relentless touring and performances alongside established acts like Smile Empty Soul, Saving Abel, Trapt, and The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.

Their growing reputation eventually caught the attention of Will Turpin of Collective Soul, who came on board to collaborate on the band's latest studio album, Please Stand By. Turpin's involvement marked a significant turning point for the group, bringing a polished, professional edge to their sound and validating the years of work behind their rise. That partnership later came full circle when 307 Departure shared the stage with Collective Soul in the Moore brothers' hometown of Casper, Wyoming — a milestone moment linking their roots to their growing national recognition.
